Plain and simple, getting a divorce isn't fun. Regardless of how you got here, the best way to minimize the pain is to get through it and on with your life as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, in their haste to complete the process, people often make mistakes that come back to haunt them years from now.
We believe the best way to get through this process is to know what the courts can and cannot do for you, and give you the information you need to make smart decisions about your situation.
We have attempted to bring together all of the information you need to understand how the process works, what you need to know about the law and what you can expect as you move through this process.
The services we provide are designed to facilitate a noncontested dissolution, with or without children. The action should be filed in the county where you live but may be filed in Lincoln County if you do not want to make a court appearance when the matter is finalized.
We also provide two types of coaching services, one occurs prior to the divorce action being filed and the second is for people who have filed and are in the middle of the divorce and need help understanding how to finalize the divorce.
If you have anything other than a noncontested divorce, particularly if the other party is represented, you need competent counsel to advise you through this process. Please contact our full service law office, The Law Offices of F. Richard Ricketts, PLLC.
